Location: Cortona, Italy
The Cortona Center is named for John D. (Jack) Kehoe, sculptor and former UGA professor of art. More than 30 years ago, Jack organized a small group of UGA students for the purpose of traveling to Cortona, Italy, to broaden their exposure to art. Since that time, over 8,000 students have taken advantage of this study abroad opportunity.
Cortona is a small town located in the hills of the Tuscany region of Italy. While there, students live and study in a 15th century monastery.
UGAREF purchased the property in 2002 and renovated it to meet the needs of the UGA Cortona Studies Abroad Program.
